We only stayed one night on our travels but wished we had more time because Cycads on the Sea Guest house was perfect. We loved everything about our stay; from the warm welcome we recieved from the owner, the beautiful room with an amazing view to the freshest delicious breakfast and wonderful service provided by the friendly house staff....you couldnt ask for better. As we were so limited in time, we really appreciated the knowledge and tips shared on arrival so we could see some of the stunning scenery around St Francis Bay and also enjoy a spectacular seafood dinner . It is a beautiful spot , great value for money and definitley a place we would love to visit again

Short walk from the beach. Granny's pool or main beach walkable. Good for any age group. Braai and pool area is nice to eat at night. Breakfast was lovely and the chef makes sure you have anything you could want. Staff are all very friendly. Nice to go off peak times.

📍 Cycads on Sea Guest House – Our Dream Getaway! 🐚 We spent a full week at Cycads on Sea Guest House, and WOW—what a gem! This was our first time staying somewhere for that long, and it was absolutely worth it. 🌊 The View: The guest house overlooks the ocean, offering breathtaking scenery and a refreshing sea breeze. Just a 5-minute walk to the beach! 🛎️ Service Excellence: Rooms were serviced daily, and the host was incredibly kind—checking in during breakfast and giving us amazing sightseeing tips. They have a very clean swimming pool, an outdoor braai area and mini kitchen which was a lovely bonus! 📍 Location: You couldn’t ask for a better spot. We explored the entire area and felt completely safe—both in the guest house and the town itself. 🍳 Breakfast Bliss: You could choose from three delicious options each morning. The kitchen team nailed it every time! 💖 Home Away from Home: Thank you Zaan and team for a luxurious, heartwarming stay. My husband and I felt truly at home and can’t wait to return!

11 of us on 9 motorbikes stayed here overnight as part of our South Africa tour. The ride leader had stayed here before. We were able to park our bikes outside on the grass verge despite the road and edges being steep. It was clear from the other houses and those that walked by that it was a well-to-do area so we weren't concerned about crime. We were given our allocated rooms, Wifey and I had one to ourselves which had a double bed on the ground floor and a pair of single beds up in the thatched roof space accessible via a wooden ladder. On the ground floor apart from the very comfy bed was a large bathroom with a bath and stand up shower within it. There was a couple of chairs by the door and then a large wardrobe. Next came the desk area with tea gear and a TV on top of the fridge and accessories stand. Finally a double sliding grass door led out to our own small terrace area with table and chairs and a fold up clothes drier. This deck looked out towards the sea and town down below us. Apart from the main reception building at the front there was a self contained eating/cooking area where we had breakfast and behind this an outdoor pool and a Braai (BBQ) area which we used for a communal dinner and drinks. Wifey walked down to the shops which took about 10 minutes and got some supplies to top up what we already had and NIck did his magic, displaying for the first time, his cooking skills. Next to the BBQ area was a dish washing area with more fridge capacity to store left overs if needed. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked to order and ran along the usual fried food, fruits and yogurts theme but no one had any complaints. We had an excellent night there and can see why the Ride Leader chose to stay there again.
